The Lighting Association Ireland (LAI) has recently published it’s response to Ireland’s Climate Action Plan and the EU Renovation Wave Strategy document which doesn’t appear to highlight lighting in the same manner it does, for instance, heating, cooling, hot water generation and in particular heat pumps. All of these areas are very important but LAI feels the potential energy saving, carbon reduction, safety and wellbeing benefits of lighting are underestimated.
