acei.ie

The Economic Migration Policy Unit of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment has now launched the public consultation review of the Occupational Lists for Employment Permits.  Submissions are invited from sector representative bodies and interested parties by downloading, completing and submitting this consultation form by email to empu@enterprise.gov.ie by close of business Thursday, 12 August 2021. Be sure to provide an appropriate return email address.

The submission process is an opportunity for stakeholders to provide information and experiences and different perspectives on the nature and extent of skill and/or labour shortages. Stakeholder submissions are a vital source of information and views helping inform the Department’s final assessment of the status of occupations.

You should include in your submission any relevant actors that you consider are impacting on your sector so that consideration can be given to making adjustments to the lists, for example, data on the skills or labour shortages, information on recruitment efforts undertaken, retention difficulties, relevant training incentives, impact on business, expansion plans etc., and any other evidence or data such as industry surveys or reports and views within your sector.

For reference the relevant Employment Permits Acts and the Employment Permits Regulations are here.
