The winning project delivers a key element in the water services infrastructure of our capital city. It introduces a new technology to Ireland. It provides a sustainable solution that addresses a number of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and makes a substantial contribution to the circular economy. The project demonstrates excellent collaborative effort between client, contractor and the group of consulting firms responsible for its design and supervision.

The Phosphorus Fixation Facility is an integral part of the overall Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade. It provides the recovery of a waste and its conversion into a beneficial usable product that creates value for Ireland’s national water service provider, the community, and the country.
