ACEI/IStructE Graduate Development Course

April / May 2017 and September /October 2017

This course is aimed at Graduate Engineers working in a Consulting Engineering firm, with a minimum of one year’s work experience, who have not had the benefit of a structured training programme to enhance their development and progression after graduation towards Chartered Engineer status.

The course is broken into two semesters:    

Semester One topics intend to improve the graduate consulting engineer’s understanding of technical and non-technical issues that arise in the performance of their day to day duties.

Semester Two focuses specifically on the practical aspects of design codes and construction methods, together with some relevant case studies.  Course participants will be separated into either a Civil/Structural OR Mechanical/Electrical group.

Semester One - One full day and four evenings
9.00am – 5.00pm Wednesday 12th April 2017 and

6.00pm – 8.00pm on Tuesday 25th, and Wednesday 3rd, 10th and 17th May 2017

Semester Two - Two full days and three evenings 
9.00am – 5.00pm Wednesday 13th September 2017 

6.00pm – 8.00pm  Wednesday 20th and 27th September 2017
9.00am - 5.00pm Wednesday 11th October 2017
6.00pm - 8.00pm Wednesday 18th October 2017

  • Sustainable Design and Life Cycle Issues
