She has extensive experience as an engineering consultant, working with WYG / PH McCarthy prior to Mott McDonald across a range of services including water supply, wastewater and network projects and electrical transmission schemes. Gemma started her career with ESB International as a design and commissioning engineer on electrical transmission substations and followed this as a Project Manager and Key Account Manager with Schneider Electric Ireland. Opening minds to all that a career in engineering can bring is important to bringing the diversity to the profession that will, in itself, lift what the profession delivers.”
