Honorary Secretary

Joe Burns is a Director and Arup Ireland’s Buildings Group Leader. This group primarily focuses on our Property, Healthcare, Science Industry & Technology and Social Infrastructure sectors. Joe has over 30 years’ experience of building design on a broad variety of projects across a range of sectors.

A chartered structural engineer by training, Joe’s current role involves leading Arup engineering and advisory teams, often providing multidisciplinary services, with a clear focus on identifying and meeting our clients’ needs and project objectives. He has experience in the design of large complex facilities across a range of sectors but with a particular focus on 3rd level education, healthcare and commercial projects.
