project description:
This large wind energy project in West Mayo uses the latest technology to produce 89 MW of renewable energy. This remote site in open undulating peat bogland presented major technical and conservation challenges, overcome through close cooperation with stakeholders. It delivered a large scale renewable energy output in very challenging conditions.
