The CRU has today, 02nd August 2018, published an Information Note updating the public with regard to the timeline for establishing Irish Water’s Connection Charging Policy.

In January 2018, the CRU published a consultation paper on Irish Water’s proposed Connection Charging Policy which impacted any customer wishing to connect to the public water and / or wastewater network. The current regime of charging customers for connections is changing and the consultation included proposals by Irish Water on a new charging mechanism. The level of service customers can expect from Irish Water relating to their new connection will also change from that which is currently available.
